This little bit of gooey wonderfulness came from some blog a while back and starts with a layer of brownie batter which you top with chocolate chip cookie dough. bake it together and serve warm. I have found over the years it is better to give in to my cravings for baked goods with wonderful homemade creations, as then I only want one piece, instead of trying to substitute with other things that I end up eating a ton of and never am satisfied. While I am not a big chocolate lover, this is wonderful and lives up to it's promise very well (and yes one piece is all I need/ want).
Then I cranked out 4 pairs of 'warmies' from recycled sweaters. They were super easy and the girls just love them. I may post a tutorial before too long as I sorta combined a few ideas to get them big enough for the girls. Basically though, I just took a well fitting pair of pajama pants for each of the girls an laid them onto the sweater arms to cut around. I had to get over the urge not to go into the sweater body and then they went great. The stripes made them really fun and they are so cozy.
What an amazing idea! Oh the possiblities of that ole' time wisdom of reuse it, wear it out, make it do, do without!
