It's O.K., I'm fine. When my DD tried to get a cup down from my new cup hooks (which I am loving BTW, thank you my DH) and dropped the stoneware mug into the sink, onto the Corelle bowl, physics took over. The bowl did not survive the abrupt encounter. (Remember, broken Corelle = large numbers of small pieces). The shards flew out of the sink onto the floor, counter and back-splash. (Good thing the dishes were all done, nothing else was around.) The floor cleaned up with the timeless Corelle clean up. (First sweep, then wipe, then mop and then cross your fingers.) The counter wiped up like a dream (remember no dirty dishes?) The sink I was able to pick up and remove the large chunks from and wipe out fairly easily. Then the true difficulty arose. The garbage disposal. It's alright, don't panic, remember I started this with an instruction not to worry. What can be said about the next few minutes is best abbreviated into the following. The disposal now works, the situation is resolved and no cuts upon my hands require a trip to the E.R. for stitches. Sort of like a few nights ago when DH goes to light a wooden match, from which the tip breaks of mid strike, flies over the head of my youngest, catches fire from the flying oxygen, and lands upon my hand. The burn did not require a trip to the E.R., no unladylike things came from my mouth (eye daggers don't count) and the scorch mark on the Christmas tablecloth is smaller and much less noticeable than the cut marks from little girl art creation. So don't worry, everything is O.K. (Yes I think both Karma and my overworked Guardian Angel deserve a huge kiss!)
Whatever we are doing now, it shall eventually pass and other things will replace it. This blog is about fully living and sharing the chapter were in. Included within these postings will be moments of daily frenzy, knitting, sewing, crocheting, literary indulgences, kitchen creations, fiber love, faith, family and friends. Enjoy!
